Dubai International Airport Ranks Third In the World

Dubai International has ranked third worldwide for international passenger numbers, springing ahead of Hong Kong International Airport. The airport’s newly released figures highlights a 13.2% increase than in 2011, recording 57.7 million passengers in year 2012. Reaching to the third leaves the airport behind only Paris Charles De Gaulle, France and London Heathrow, UK in the rankings.

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports admits to planning a long-term process to make Dubai International in track for becoming the world’s best airport addition to the accolade of being the busiest airport.

The launching of Concourse A is a new milestone for the airport growth and claims to be the first facility designed solely to serve the Airbus A380 aircrafts.
