A new and simplified travel system has been implemented to make travelling easy

A new advantage pops up for fully vaccinated travellers arriving from non-red list countries as they will not need to take a test before making their way to the UK.

As per Airlines UK, Travelling abroad is more affordable and easier now with the new travel system. These groups were already on the definite side of avoiding self-isolation on their arrival back in the UK.

If you are arriving from red-listed destinations, paying to quarantine at the hotel for ten days is necessary according to the travel system now.

The travellers who were vaccinated in the UK, the EU, the US, or anywhere from the 18 other recognised countries benefit from an eased testing rule even if they are from a non-red listed destination.

If a traveller is under 18 and from any of these countries, they can travel to the UK without testing as per the new travel system.

According to the travel system that begins now, all travellers must pay for a PCR test two days after arrival except children under five years old.

A pre-departure test comes into play on the travel system when travellers are not fully vaccinated. PCR test on the 2nd and 8th day after they return and self-isolating for ten days at home.

Isolating yourself for ten days is a rule for everyone arriving from red-listed countries like Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines and South Africa. It should be in a government-approved hotel, at the cost of £2,285 for one adult.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said: “We are accelerating towards a future where travel continues to reopen safely and remains open for good, and today’s rule changes are good news for families, businesses and the travel sector.

“Our priority remains to protect public health but, with more than eight-in-10 people now fully vaccinated, we are able to take these steps to lower the cost of testing and help the sector to continue in its recovery.”
