Kermadec – Nine Artists Explore the South Pacific

Together with the Pew Environment Group, nine leading artists joined the exploration voyage. National Geographic Society declares Kermadec to be the last remaining pristine sites in the world’s oceans.

Kermadec was explored by nine renowned artists and they are inter-media artist Phil Dadson, documentary filmmaker Bruce Foster, Australian sculptor and installation artist Fiona Hall, text based artist Gregory O’Brien, photographer Jason O’Hara, painter John Reynolds, Wellington sculptor Elizabeth Thomson, Niuean born John Pole and one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed artist Dame Robin White. Get together at the Edmiston Gallery of Maritime Art, Auckland to enjoy a collection of contemporary art of the new millennium on July. The tour was part of the Pew Environment Group together with the Voyager New Zealand Maritime Museum, Edmiston Trust and Tauranga Art Gallery.
